Modern people hardly have any time to spend on their health. If we have some problems we take some drug and proceed with our daily routine. But personally I do not trust drugs much. They may remove local pain but at the same time they can produce negative effect on the other parts of your body. That’s why I try to avoid medicine every time it is possible.
It is believed, for instance, that we should not tolerate headache. But when you take pain killers you prevent your body from producing its own analgetic – prostoglandin. These elements help to relax and cope with the problem by your own means. The easiest way to fight your headache is to close your eyes, relax and wait for about 10-15 minutes. You will be surprised, but this method actually works.
Aromatherapy also produces highly positive effect. Try to rub your temples with a few drops of lavender and rosemary. Mint oil is also of much help – add a couple of drops to cold water, moisten a towel in it and lay it on your forehead or the nape of your neck.
If the reason of your headache is migraine, darkness and total calmness will come to your rescue. Try to fall asleep as sleep is the best medicine in case of such disease. The massage of the head is also very effective. Massage your head with light soothing movements in the direction from the forehead to the nape of the neck. If migraine is your usual guest, it means that you have the lack of vitamin B2 in your body. Eat more eggs, apricots, tomatoes, cabbage, spinach and milk.
If it is the pain in your joints which bother you, you should make a cold pack. Fill a rubber warmer with icy water and attach it to your gnawing joint for fifteen minutes. You can replace the warmer with the leaf of cabbage and change it every two hours – the effect will be the same. A cold pack with cold cotton cheese can also be of much help. Wrap cotton cheese in a clean towel and attach it to the place where it hurts. Such pack will remove your pain, reduce inflammation and prevent swelling.
The best method to deal with the pain in your muscles is gyms and warmth. Take a warm bath – it will strengthen blood circulation and the pain will disappear. Your muscles may hurt due to the lack of magnesium, so you should eat more nuts, bananas, greens, buckwheat and beans.
